The exterior of the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) is constructed of Alucobond panels. This material requires periodic cleaning to keep its luster. Alucobond panels must not be treated with any abrasives or high pressure. Proper cleaning of Alucobond panels requires special equipment and specialized cleaning products.
The exterior of the airport had taken years of exposure to jet engine exhaust and was quite stained. We put safety first, observing OSHA and TSA guidelines.
